3 IMMEDIATE Ways To Find Peace… RIGHT NOW!
In a world full of to-do lists, over planning, under delivering, expectations, shortfalls and a multitude of distractions, we often find ourselves living in the new norm of high stress and little satisfaction. You probably just got more stressed reading that as you realized how true it is.
Too many are carrying weights on their shoulders that are just too much and feel like there is no one to help. No one that cares.
Here are 3 ways to Immediate Ways to Find Peace…Right Now!
1. BREATH AND REPEAT AFTER ME…
Stop what you’re doing. If you’re driving, pull over. If you’re at the office, go to the rest room. Turn you cellphone volume off and put yourself in a place where you can close your eyes and shut out your surroundings for a few minutes. Take 12 slow and deep breaths. Inhale for 3 seconds, hold for 3 seconds, and release over 3 seconds.
While focusing on your breathing you may have distractions and thoughts come to your mind. Imagine yourself pushing your thoughts/pictures to the side or breaking through them until you can just see darkness or nothingness.
Now remember a memory that made you either very happy or very thankful. This thought should make you crack a smile or even laugh or tear up in joy.
Re-live that moment and tell yourself that “Everything is going to be okay.”
Then end this moment by being thankful for that memory and this experience. Repeat “Thank you” a few times and smile and allow the universe to start working to help you have more positive experiences you can be thankful for.
2. PRAYER?..YES, PRAYER.
Don’t have time for a breathing session to help yourself calm down. Then here is the shortest prayer that changed my life… “GOD HELP ME!
Humbling ourselves to a simple prayer and just having at least the faith to believe that God is hearing you, and cares, can immediately change your perspective and open the door for divine intervention and peace.
Don’t believe in God? Then revise your prayer to “God, if you’re real, please help me.” If you’re sincere then you will be able to receive truth and peace.
The key is to come from a place of humility, honesty and an open heart.
3. WHISTLE WHILE YOU WORK.
So you’re not ready to take the dive into reflection or a quick prayer. Try whistling a happy tune. Humming works as well. Especially if you need to keep it to yourself. Humming is easier to do at a low volume or an airy tone but whistling is just more fun.
BONUS #4: WORKOUT.
Exercise is one of the best ways to relieve stress and trigger your happy genes. Maybe you can do some quick jumps and squats in a private area for quick blood flow. Possibly some push ups against the wall. Some stretching and any movement that gets your blood moving is a great start.
